Electrical Project Engineer

LKD Aerospace’s Gladiator Technologies Division is a growing advanced technology designer and manufacturer of low cost high performance MEMS inertial systems (including IMU’s, VG, and AHRS up to full INS/GPS) and sensors (gyros and accelerometers). These advanced technology products are used around the world in hundreds of applications including in aerospace & defense, motorsports racing, automotive testing, airborne, sea and land image stabilization and other markets.

We are currently seeking a full time Electrical Project Engineer to join our team at our Snoqualmie, Washington location. Our ideal candidate will be a skilled communicator with the ability to work well in a highly motivated team environment. Our work environment is fast-paced and requires team members to have technical aptitude and be detail-oriented, to learn quickly and have organizational skills, but most importantly to have a positive attitude and enjoy their job and the people they work with.

                                                                                         

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform electronic design duties including: analog and digital circuit design, schematics, PCB and CCA layout, part list generation, solder mask generation and initial test procedures.
  • Perform initial circuit testing to verify proper operation and lead new product qualification efforts.
  • Lead and support documentation associated with specifications, user guides, updates to assembly and production testing per AS9100C / ISO 9001:2008.
  • Support trouble shooting of both developmental and production products.
  • Provide technical input for customer support activities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent knowledge through experience and/or other recognized educational institution
  • One + year of experience in analog and digital circuit design, test and documentation experience and/or CAD experience
  • Strong computer and math skills required in addition to strong knowledge of electronics
  • Familiar with circuit layout and documentation.
  • Ability to design and maintain drawings and schematics, functional and acceptance test procedures, failure reports, manuals and all other applicable engineering and production specifications 
  • Ability to follow and understand both technical and non-technical work instructions
  • Aerospace and Defense electronics experience strongly preferred (inertial product experience highly desired)
  • Experience in an ERP/MRP computerized environment desired
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word) and Windows Operating System
  • Must be willing to work cooperatively in a small team environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Follow through in testing new development products
  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
